Outdoor recreation directory to help you stay active and sane during COVID-19 lockdown

Are you getting a little stir crazy under lockdown measures? Looking for something fun and safe to do outside this winter?

Look no further.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie, in partnership with Acorn Information Solutions, has created a one-stop guide for outdoor winter activities in the Sault.

The directory displays locations, hours of operation, and other important details of outdoor activities including:

  • Cross country skiing trails
  • Fat bike trails
  • Outdoor skating rinks 
  • Snowshoe trails
  • Tobogganing hills
  • Winter walking trails

Users can simply choose to view all activities or individual activities listed above and icons will appear on a map. Once the icons are clicked, information about the activity locations will pop up.

Residents are reminded that groups larger than five people are not permitted, and to maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from others.
