Jesse Merineau advances a step closer to spot at Hollywood Bowl

Audacy’s "We Can Survive" Concert at the Hollywood Bowl is a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and part of the company’s commitment to normalizing mental health struggles, saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide through education and community programs.

This 9th annual concert will take place in October of this year.

A number of local musicians and bands entered the contest earlier this, including singer songwriter Jesse Merineau.

Merineau has just advanced to the next stage of the contest.

In addition to a shot at the high profile opening gig, the winning artist/band also receives $10,000 to help jump start their career.

 “I’m so thankful to have such incredible support,” says Merineau.

“Everyone is doing their part to keep pushing me further into this competition and I am beyond excited.”

The singer notes that throughout the previous rounds, he has seen so many people in the community showing their support by voting and sharing his social media posts.

“It’s really an amazing feeling to receive such love from everyone. Now, is the time to push as hard as we can as the competition is getting tougher and tougher.”

Merineau confesses that he is getting nervous as he moves to move on to the next stage.

“The further I advance, the more I worry about letting people down,” he says.

“I know everyone is just happy to see me try, and no matter what happens, I am proud to have made it this far.”

Merineau is currently in third place in his grouping, but he knows that can change quickly with some support from friends, fans and the community.

“Let’s aim for the stars,” he says.

“I’m grateful for you all and I’m sending my love to everyone.”

Win or lose, Merineau has plans to release something special for his supporters which he hopes to announce in the near future.
