THE DISTRICT OF SAULT STE. MARIE SOCIAL SERVICES

As part of its’ pandemic plan, the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services, will cancel all non-urgent in-office appointments, as well as restrict building visitor access, effective March 17, 2020.

As a result, all appointments with Ontario Works, Early Years Services or Housing Services will be rescheduled and conducted by telephone. This includes all new applications and updates, for Ontario Works, as well as Childcare subsidy meetings and Social Housing matters.

Please contact Social Services’ offices via telephone or email prior to attending our buildings at 540 Albert Street (705-759-5266) or 180 Brock Street (705-759-7748). The Hub locations at Second Line West and Chapple Albion are now closed to the public.

We thank you for your cooperation and patience at this time as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve rapidly.

Social Services continues to monitor and take the necessary precautions for the safety of all and to prevent transmission of the virus.
