In a news release issued Tuesday, Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited announced that all Ontario casinos – with the exception of Casino Rama – will reopen this month. This includes the Sault Ste. Marie location.

Starting this Saturday, Gateway Casinos Sault Ste. Marie will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily with a capacity limit of 50 patrons.

"At opening and in the coming days, we will be operating with a reservation and invitation system for our customers only," the release states. "Due to the 50-customer capacity restrictions, properties will be open to invited My Club Rewards members only. Invited members will be notified by email with details on how to make reservations."

A new reservation and virtual customer queue system will be in place, and customers must wait in their vehicles and check-in upon arrival at the casino.

Gaming options include slot machines only – table games will not be open at this time, and non-gaming amenities, including food and beverage service, will be extremely limited.
