National Guard tests 219 in Chippewa County for COVID-19 over the weekend

Results will be available in five to seven days says health unit

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MICH. – Chippewa County Health Department would like to thank the Michigan National Guard in providing COVID-19 testing this past weekend in Sault Ste. Marie.

The test site was well-attended with 298 Michigan residents tested. For individuals who did get tested, the results will be available in 5-7 days from the testing day.

We would also like to thank Sault Area Schools for allowing us to utilize the Sault High School parking lot, Chippewa County Emergency Services, Michigan State Police, Sault Ste. Marie Department of Public Works, Sault Fire, Sault Police and volunteers from War Memorial Hospital, Lake Superior State University, Sault Tribe Health Center, and the general community. We could not have done this without you!
