SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Pooch (TAAG)

Pooch is one of the mature cats at 14 years of age who is waiting for a home.

He is declawed, very sweet and affectionate.

Pooch’s adoption fee has been waived and is available to a caring home by a donation.

Older cats are matured, with a fully formed demeanor, temperament, and personality… what you see is what you get.

An older cat is not as high energy as a younger cat.

They may enjoy some playtime but will enjoy cuddling on a lap or couch too.

Older pets tend to be calm and laid back, giving them an advantage in homes with young children or first-time pet parents.

They have experience being part of a family as they were once beloved family pets but for some reason have ended up in a shelter.

You can make a difference in the life of a cat like Pooch in his golden years by welcoming him into your family.

If you would like to adopt Pooch, or any of the available cats or kittens, please contact us.

Visit us at The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG) Website, where you will find information on shelter location, hours of operation, ways to help, and adoption information.

While these animals are in our care, medical attention, spay / neuter services and lots of love are provided until homes are found.

Homeless cats stay with TAAG until adopted.
