SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG), brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Tammy

(TAAG)

This beauty is Tammy, who is approximately one to two years old, spayed and up-to-date on all her shots.

Tammy was found trying to survive with her kittens in the elements outside. She took wonderful care of her babies and now is ready for her forever home.

This poor girl must have spent most of her life just trying to survive, as she didn't know how to play when she arrived at her foster home. Tammy's foster mom had the privilege of teaching her the joy of just being a kitty and playing!

She loves being petted, and purrs quickly, especially when she gets scratches under her chin. She is very affectionate but a bit leery around strangers at first. However, treats or wet food will have her eating out of the palm of your hand. Tammy will even run and dive for her Temptations treats.

Tammy would do best in a quiet household as the only kitty, or with another calm cat.

Let's get this girl the wonderful forever home she greatly deserves! If you are interested in adoption of one of our cats or kittens, you can fill out a preadoption form online at animalassistancegroup.org or contact TAAG at 705-576-7030.

As a non-profit animal rescue, TAAG receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of those who wish to be stewards of abandoned animals who cannot care for themselves or to help those pets who have families in need of emergency vet care.
