Guardian Angels CWL Mary Matthews Speaking Contest Winners

The Guardian Angels Catholic Women’s League held the Mary Matthews Public Speaking Contest on Monday, February 5th in The Guardian Angels
Parish Hall for grades 7 and 8, with students from Monsignor Lee and Notre Dame schools participating.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
Eliza Jane Jenkins, a grade 8 student at Monsignor Lee was the WINNER.
Her topic was Speech Writing.
Grace Buchanan who is also in grade 8 at Monsignor Lee School, placed second.
Her topic was Marie Antoinette.
The winner will compete in the Northern Region Public Speaking Contest on March 9th at St. Mary’s
Church in Barrie.
