Road Closure - Wellington Street Between John Street and St. Georges Avenue

The City's Public Works and Engineering Services Department would like to inform motorists that Wellington Street between John Street and St. Georges Avenue will be closed to throughway traffic for approximately 8 weeks beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 28.

The closure is necessary to facilitate reconstruction work. Access and parking for businesses including Stock House Grill, Medaglia Shoe Repair, Vermillion Tattoo Collective and CB Home Installations, will be maintained from John Street. Access for residents in the area as well as Paul's Bakery and the Esso Gas Station will be maintained from St. Andrews Terrace and the rear laneway.

Motorists are urged to be cautious and obey all detour signage in the area during this time.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks its citizens for their patience and understanding during this road closure period.
