Area residents, neighbours and trail users in the Hiawatha Highlands are encouraged to attend a public information session regarding the access road through the northern portion of the Hiawatha Highlands Conservation Area.

This will be an opportunity to become informed about a grant of access for The Forestland Group to reach their property in Duncan Township via the existing access road through the Hiawatha Highlands.

A representative from The Forestland Group will be making a presentation. Staff from Prentiss & Carlisle and the Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority (SSMRCA) will be available to answer your questions.

This access has been under development for over two years and the SSMRCA has been working with local user groups in the Hiawatha Highlands including the Voyageur Trail Association, The Sault Trailblazers and the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club. We look forward to their continued participation and support.

Date: July 12, 2018
