Attend our first open house on Tuesday, March 27, focused on Sault Ste. Marie's rural areas and agriculture.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie has launched a new planning project named "Shape the Sault" to create a new Official Plan for our entire city. The new Official Plan will guide local decision making on land use, development, and public infrastructure and facilities in Sault Ste. Marie over the next 20 years. We're currently reaching out to community members and organizations across Sault Ste. Marie to collect input on this important project!

Agriculture and Rural Areas

Our first open house will be focused on the Sault's rural areas and agriculture. Where is agriculture occurring within Sault Ste. Marie? What is currently working in terms of agriculture and rural development in the Sault? How can the City's land use and other policies better support our agriculture sector over the next 20 years?
