On Aug. 7, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 14-year-old male regarding an assault investigation.
It is alleged that on Aug. 2, the accused engaged in an argument with two people that are known to him. The accused allegedly threw a lit cigarette in the face of one of the victims and then swung a baseball bat with a knife attached to the end of it at the other victim while threatening his life.
Police were contacted and the accused left the area. The accused was located on Aug. 7 and placed in custody. He has been charged with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of uttering threats.
He will appear in court on Sept. 19, 2017.
