Woman injured in scissors stabbing incident

On Feb. 21, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 23-year-old Melinda Robinson, of Royal York Boulevard, in relation to an assault.

It is alleged that on Feb. 18, 2017 the accused engaged in an argument with a female known to her. The argument escalated and the two began physically fighting. 

The accused is alleged to have stabbed the victim in the head with a pair of scissors during the physical altercation causing a non-life threatening injury.

The accused was arrested by police on Feb. 21, 2017 and charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of breach of probation. She was held for bail court.
