Domestic Incidents

1) City Police arrested a 46 year old male yesterday in regards to a domestic related incident. It is believed that the accused attended at his ex-girlfriends residence and forced his way in. The victim in this incident managed to call 911. The accused at the time of this incident was on several probation orders with various conditions including keep the peace and be of good behavior, not to molest, harass, annoy or interfere physically with the victim, not to communicate directly or indirectly to the victim and abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The accused was subsequently charged with 5 counts of breach of probation order and will be appearing in bail court this morning.

2) A 41 year old male attended at the police station yesterday afternoon and has been charged in a domestic related incident. It is believed that the accused on the 20th of July did assault his girlfriend by throwing wine in her face. Further, on the 9th of August the accused attended at the residence of the victim and while she was in the bathtub the accused threw a set of car keys striking a glass which was on the edge of the tub. The glass shattered and caused cuts and lacerations to the victim’s body, which did not require medical attention. The accused has been charged with 1 count of assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm. He is to appear in court on the 10th of October.

Theft Under $5,000

On the 29th of August, sometime between 4:30pm and 5:30pm, 46 year old Robert Joseph Wilson of 39 Grace Street was visiting a male known to him at the Sault Area Hospital when he stole a wallet containing identification and Canadian currency belonging to the victim. Mr. Wilson was located on the 4th of September on Queen Street East and charged with 1 count of theft under $5000. He is scheduled to appear in court on the 15th of October.

Charged 20x with Fraud

42 year old Frank Caicco has been charged with 20 counts of fraud, 20 counts of personation with intent to commit a criminal offence and 1 count of breach of probation order. It is believed that between May 15th and June 13th the accused on several different occasions used the credit card of a female known to him and purchased several pieces of merchandise and had them delivered to female acquaintances of his. He will be appearing in bail court.

Assault

59 year old Henry Higginson of 3 Elmwood Avenue has been charged with 1 count of assault. It is believed that on the 3rd of September while at Bellevue Park the accused assaulted a 14 year old male by punching him in the face. The accused is not known to the accused, and the victim did not require medical attention. The accused will be appearing in court on the 15th of October.
