FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT AND WEAPON CHARGES A 21 year old male has been charged with 1 count of assault with a weapon, 1 count of forcible confinement, 1 count of pointing a firearm, 1 count of possession of a firearm for purpose dangerous to the public,
FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT AND WEAPON CHARGES

A 21 year old male has been charged with 1 count of assault with a weapon, 1 count of forcible confinement, 1 count of pointing a firearm, 1 count of possession of a firearm for purpose dangerous to the public, and 1 count of weapon concealed. It is believed that yesterday at approximately 1130pm the accused attended at a residence in the downtown area where his ex-girlfriend was visiting. The accused demanded that the female leave with him in a car driven by a friend. The female went with the accused but were confronted with the new boyfriend while on Chestnut Street. The accused male got out of the vehicle and pulled a black pellet gun out of his waste band and pointed it at the new boyfriend. The accused then struck the male victim numerous times in the head causing bruising and bleeding. The gun dropped to the ground and was retrieved by the female who then hid it in the bushes. The accused then grabbed the female and would not let her go. Police had been called and when they arrived on the scene the accused had already fled the area. The female victim showed officers where the gun was hidden. The male was located and charged at approximately 3am at a residence on Chestnut Street. Neither victims required medical attention. The accused will be appearing in bail court this morning.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

A 42 year old male has been charged with a domestic related assault. It is believed that the accused assaulted his common law girlfriend while walking down Dennis Street earlier this morning. The accused was observed pulling and dragging the female to the ground. Police were called and the accused was arrested a short distance away and charged with 1 count of assault. The victim did not require medical attention and the accused will be appearing in bail court this morning.

BREACH OF RELEASE DOCUMENTS

A 24 year old male has been charged with 2 counts of breach of recognizance. It is believed that the accused while bound by a release document to abstain communication and or association with his ex-girlfriend, attended at her west end residence. Police were called and the accused was arrested. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.

BREACH OF RELEASE DOCUMENTS

A 21 year old female has been charged with 2 counts of breach of recognizance and 1 count of breach of probation order. The female who was bound by two separate recognizance and 1 probation order stating that she have no communication with her ex-boyfriend, attended at the Algoma Remand and Treatment center to visit him. Police were called and the accused was arrested at that location. She will be appearing in bail court this morning.

MISCHIEFS

A Home Health Care van was damaged sometime between the 29th of August and the 2nd of September. Someone cut the filler pipe.

Petro Canada at 323 2nd Line West was vandalized on the 2nd of September between 12midnight and 5am. Gas pump was damaged and a phone booth on the property had its window smashed.
