Two persons to appear in bail court At 1:30 this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service were called to a west end residence regarding an assault. Upon arrival officers arrested a 22-year-old female for assault and a breach.
Two persons to appear in bail court
At 1:30 this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service were called to a west end residence regarding an assault. Upon arrival officers arrested a 22-year-old female for assault and a breach. It is alleged that the accused female attended at the residence of her ex-boyfriend and assaulted a female tenant. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to stay away from her ex-boyfriend. The accused is charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of a recognizance. The female victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and arrested 55-year-old Michael Matuszyk. It is alleged that the accused person was in possession of property ($26,900.00) obtained by crime – drug trafficking and possession of controlled substances (Hashish and Psilocybin) for the purpose of trafficking. Mr. Matuszyk is charged with one count of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Male arrested for failing to appear in court:
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 33-year-old Rodney Donegan, of 71 Malabar Dr. for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on September 27th 2010. Mr. Donegan is charged with one count of failing to appear for court and is to appear in court on November 1st at 9 am.

Female arrested for theft under $ 5,000:
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 50-year-old Dolorisa Bushey, of 41 Old Garden River Rd. Apt # 205 on a charge of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Zellers Store at 306 Great Northern Rd. and stole a quantity of clothing. The accused was arrested by store security and turned over to the city police. Ms Bushey is to appear in court on November 1st at 9:00 am.

Break and enter
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated three break and enters yesterday.
A home in the 100 block of Henrietta Ave was entered – electronics were stolen.
Jewellery was stolen from a break-in to a residence in the 100 block of Wawanosh Ave.
Power tools were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Sherbourne St.
An attempted break in was reported to a residence in the 300 block of Gillies St.

Theft
A generator was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Peoples Rd.
A computer was stolen from a residence in the 500 block of Case Rd.

Fire
At approximately 12:30 this morning the Sault Ste Marie Fire Department and the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the rear of a business in the 300 block of great Northern Rd regarding a dumpster fire.
