Domestic Related Arrests: A 20 year-old female was arrested on the 6th of October at 1:26 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of assault and one count of possession of a controlled drug.
Domestic Related Arrests:

A 20 year-old female was arrested on the 6th of October at 1:26 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of assault and one count of possession of a controlled drug. It is alleged that on the 6th of October the accused got into an argument with her common law partner at their apartment and assaulted her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries not requiring medical attention. At the time of her arrest, the accused was found in possession of some marijuana. She is to attend in bail court this morning.

Two Males Arrested for Shoplifting at Sears:

19 year-old Daniel Murphy of 160 Amber Street and a 15 year-old male youth were arrested on the 6th of October at 3:10 pm at the Station Mall regarding a shoplifting incident. It is alleged that the two males attended at Sears at around 2:20 pm yesterday and stole some cologne. They were apprehended by security and held for police. Murphy was charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and is to appear in court on the 9th of November. The 15 year-old male youth was charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, five counts of breach of probation, six counts of beach of a release document and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. The youth was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis resin at the time of his arrests. Police also discovered that this youth was wanted on nine outstanding warrants. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Youth Charged with Assault and Threatening:

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 6th of October at 10:20 am at his residence and charged with one count of assault and two counts of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused assaulted and threatened two fellow students at a local high school in September and October. The accused is to appear in court on the 10th of November.

Break and Enter Reports:

• A garage in the 400 block of Lake Street was entered during the evening hours on the 6th of September. A battery charger and stereo from the dash of a vehicle inside were reported stolen.
• A residence on Hughes Street was entered sometime during the day on the 6th of September. Two televisions were reported stolen.
• A residence on Northern Avenue was entered yesterday. Several items were reported stolen, including electronics and jewellery.
• A residence on Manilla Terrace was entered sometime in the morning hours on the 6th of September. Several items were reported stolen.
• A carport was entered on Wilding Avenue sometime between the 2nd and 4th of October. A
Mercury trolling motor was reported stolen.

• Make your home appear occupied when you go out.
• Lock all doors and windows.
• Leave lights on and the radio playing.
• Keep your garage door closed and locked.
• Use timing devices to turn inside lights on and off.
• If possible, install an alarm system.
• Lock all sheds.
• If you will be gone several days, arrange to have the mail and papers stopped or picked up.
• Inform your trusted neighbours you will be away and ask them to keep an eye on you residence.
• Half of all home burglaries occur during the day when alert neighbors could spot and report the thieves.
• If you are a neighbour and observe any suspicious person/s or activity in the area, call the police.
