YOUTH BREACHES PROBATION ORDER
On Thursday, the 9th of October 2003 at a local High School in Sault Ste. Marie, the accused, a 15 year old young person was a party to the offence of assault/bodily harm by shoving the victim, another student into the co-accused, a 16 year old young person.

This shove resulted in the co-accused assaulting the victim. By assaulting the victim, the accused breached their probation order. On the 21st of October 2003 at 10:32 am and 1:00 pm, the accused were both arrested and charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

The 15-year-old faces an additional charged of Breach of Probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They will appear in court in late November.

YOUTH THEFT CHARGES
On the 21st of October 2003 the accused a 15 year old young person and co-accused a 16 year old young person did have in their possession over $1,000.00 in cash stolen from a residence on the east side of the city.

The accused and co-accused also had in their possession property purchased with the stolen money from several stores at Station Mall. Station Mall Security detained the accused until police officers arrived at 7:30 pm and arrested and charged them with Theft. They will appear in court at the end of November.

IMPAIRED DRIVING
At 7:42 pm last evening patrol officers observed an impaired driver operating a car on North Street near Second Line. Officers stopped the vehicle, which had been driving erratically and arrested and charged the driver Kevin Perrault, age 27 of 10 Tower Rd. Garden River with Impaired Driving and Driving While Prohibited. He will appear in court on November 24th.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH THEFT
In late March 2003, the accused, a 17-year-old young person was in CJ"s Cafe 759B Trunk Road. Upon leaving the youth took a frame with a $1.00 bill in it off the wall and ran out with it. The accused was arrested charged with this offence in early June and given a court date in the summer. The youth failed to appear in court.

On the 21st of October 2003 at 11:00 pm the youth was arrested by officers from the Anishinabek Police Service on outstanding warrants from Sault Ste Marie Police Service. The young person was turned over to officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, where he was charged with Theft and Failing to Appear in Court. He will appear in bail court today.

BREACH OF PROBATION
On the 21st of October 2003 Patrol Officers were called to 0 to 100 block of Wallace Terrace to investigate a suspicious person. Officers located Samuel Corbett, age 19 of 265 St. James Street in the area and a police records check revealed Corbett to be on a probation order with a curfew of 9:00pm - 7:00am on school days. At 11:53 pm the accused was arrested and charged with Breach of Probation. He will appear in court on November 24th.

DACEY ROAD BREAK IN
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated one break in yesterday. At 8:30 pm a resident of Dacey Road advised police that while they were away from their residence yesterday, thieves broke in and stole a small quantity of money and jewellery.
