Youth charged for stolen cars On October 17th, 2012 Patrol Officers answered three separate calls of stolen vehicles from three car dealerships in the city.

On October 17th, 2012 Patrol Officers answered three separate calls of stolen vehicles from three car dealerships in the city. Officers learned that a 17 year old male stole a Jeep Liberty from Steeltown Motors, a Mazda 3 from Cambrian Motors and a Ford Expedition from Highland Ford. The youth was arrested and has been charged with three counts of Theft over $5000.00 and three counts of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.00. The young person will attend in bail court on October 17th, 2012. All three vehicles were recovered undamaged.

Break and Enter

A residential garage was reported broken into on Farquhar Street and a quantity of beer was reported stolen.

A resident in an apartment building in the 600 block of Albert Street West reported Star Trek memorabilia stolen from their apartment.

Robbery

On the 16th of October at approximately 8:42 p.m., a male entered the Shell Gas bar at the corner of Pine and McNabb Streets armed with a knife and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.  The attendant was not hurt.  The suspect was described as approximately 5’6” tall, blue eyes, all dressed in black, wearing a bandana and a hood pulled up.  He was last seen running into an alleyway behind the business.  A search of the area was conducted however the suspect was not located.

Arrested

20 year old Thomas Agawa of no fixed address was arrested and charged with break and enter and possession of stolen property.  It is alleged that on the 16th of October the accused broke into a residence on Wellington Street East and stole some coins, alcohol, and hearing aids belonging to the homeowner.  Mr. Agawa was found to be in possession of these articles on Dennis Street later in the day.  It is also alleged that on the 15th of July Mr. Agawa went to Wardlaw Fuels on Wellington Street West and stole some Hot Rods and potato chips.  At the time of these offences he was on a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be good and obey a curfew.  He will be in bail court today charged with Break and Enter, 3 counts of possession of stolen property, theft under $5000 and breach of probation.

Breach of Probation

20 year old Cady McDonald of 67 Lorna Drive was arrested for criminal harassment and breach of probation.  It is alleged that on October 16th, the accused harassed an individual known to her.  She was on probation at the time with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.  She will be appearing in court on November 19th.

Fail to appearl

33 year old Wesley Dawson of 345 ST. Georges Avenue was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court.  It is alleged that in 2010, Mr. Dawson failed to go to court to answer to a charge of breach of probation.  He was given a new court date of November 19th.
