Male Arrested for Sexual Assault:

37 year-old [charge withdrawn] was arrested on the 13th of October at 10:48 pm at his residence and charged with one count of sexual assault. It is alleged that on the 11th of October the accused touched a 16 year-old female known to him in an inappropriate sexual manner. The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of November.

Youth Arrested for Attempted Theft from Vehicle:

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested last evening at 9:25 pm on Rushmere Drive and charged with one count of attempt theft. It is alleged that at approximately 9:19 pm last evening the youth was entering vehicles in the Rushmere Drive area. The youth was apprehended by one of the vehicle owners and held for police. He is to attend in court on the 17th of November.

Shoplifting Arrests:

1) 39 year-old Richard Turner of 1052 Wellington Street East was arrested on the 13th of October at 2:20 pm at the Station Mall after he allegedly attended at the Zellers store and stole some clothing. He was apprehended just outside the store by security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 9th of November.

2) A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 13th of October at 4 pm on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 13th of October at 3:58 pm the accused attended at the Wal-Mart Store on Great Northern Road and stole some cologne. The accused fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by police on Northern Avenue. He is to appear in court on the 10th of November.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:

• A residence in the 2000 block of Base Line was entered sometime between the 11th of October and the 13th. Numerous items were stolen including liquor and cash.
• A bush camp on Creek Road was entered and a 1200 watt generator was reported stolen.
• A home under construction was entered on East Balfour Avenue.
• An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence on Wayne Court.

Theft Reports:

• Bikes were reported stolen from the 200 block of Old Garden River Road and Valhalla Place.
• A wallet was reported stolen from the court house.
• A set of keys were reported stolen from the Pre-Admit Clinic at the Sault Area Hospital.

Mischief Report:

• Holy Family Separate School reported Graffiti was found on a wall.
