Arrests A 32-year old male was arrested just after 4 am this morning and charged with one count of mischief and one count of break and enter and commit the offence of mischief.

Arrests

A 32-year old male was arrested just after 4 am this morning and charged with one count of mischief and one count of break and enter and commit the offence of mischief.  It is alleged that the male attended at a west end residence where his girlfriend was staying.  When he was denied entry, it is alleged that he damaged the siding of the house, and then broke into the garage and broke two windows and some bottles.  The male will appear in bail court on November 22, 2012 at 10 am.

54-year old Russell Barton of 859 Trunk Road was arrested and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.  It is alleged that the accused attended at Food Basic’s on Trunk Road and stole bacon and eggs. He will appear in court on Monday December 17th, 2012.

36 year old Andrew Anderson of 222 Albert Street East was arrested by the Fraud Unit.  It is alleged that in October and November the accused defrauded two downtown banks of a small amount of funds by depositing empty envelopes.  He has been charged with two counts of Fraud Under $5,000 and will appear in court on December 31, 2012.

Property Related Matters

A break and enter was reported to Pioneer Construction.  A door was damaged and copper wire was stolen.

Arrests/Charged Persons:

On November 20, 2012 at approximately 3:10 pm, a traffic stop was initiated in the Korah Road and Devon Street area.  It was found that the driver of the vehicle was suspended from driving.  A further check was done and the driver was also on an undertaking to report any change of address.  The driver was arrested and charged with failing to change her address.  The accused Bobbie-Jean Otakwadjiwan-Boyer, age 26, of 16 Batchawana Street, will appear in court on December 17, 2012 at 9:00am.

On November 20, 2012 at approximately 11:55 pm police were called to the 600 block of Base Line regarding a possible impaired driver. A concerned citizen had called the police and reported that a male had exited his vehicle and requested the use of a telephone.  The driver had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and was unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech.  Police attended and arrested the accused for impaired driving.  The accused Robert James Fantham, age 58 of 1367 Second Line West is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and consuming over the legal limit. The accused will appear in court on December 17, 2012 at 9:00
