The following four persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) City police were called to a local motel on the 20th of November at approximately 7:14 pm regarding a female that had been assaulted.
The following four persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) City police were called to a local motel on the 20th of November at approximately 7:14 pm regarding a female that had been assaulted. When officers arrived they discovered several persons in the room in an intoxicated state and that a party had been going on. It is alleged that a 22 year-old female was assaulted by a 42 year-old male when he threw a table at her striking her in the face area. When the victim and another 22 year-old female attempted to leave the room, the male held them against their will and would not let them leave. When officers ran the male they discovered he was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and when he was searched, officers located a knife that opened with centrifugal force. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and did not require medical attention.

This male, John Wilson, age 42, of 39 Grace Street was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a weapon, two counts of forcible confinement, one count of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to public and two counts of breach of probation.

Another male that was located inside the room that officers ran a check on, 43 year-old Clayton Lapensee of 71 Second Line West, was also arrested and charged with three counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused was on a recognizance order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not to associate with the female victim that was assaulted and he was currently residing at the motel and had not notified city police of this change of address as he was required to do in the order. All parties were known to each other.

2) 22 year-old Krystal Hart of #B-134 Gore St was arrested on the 20th of November at 10:40 am on King Street on outstanding warrants and charged with two counts of fail to appear court from the 12th and 16th of July, one count of fail to appear for prints from the 23rd of July, three counts of breach of probation and one count of breach of a release document for not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour.

3) A 17 year-old youth was arrested at 12:48 am on the 21st of November on Brock Street and charged with seven counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that city police were in this area checking on a report of two suspicious males in the area of Spring Street and when they arrived this male that appeared intoxicated, was located and officers ran a check on him. The accused was found to be on two separate undertaking release documents having conditions that he not consume any alcohol, on a curfew to be in his residence from 9 pm to 7 am daily, to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and officers also discovered that he had moved recently and not notified City Police of his change of address.

Impaired Driving

26 year-old Rachelle Morine of 46 Alden Road was arrested on the 21st of November on North Street and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over legal limit. It is alleged that just before midnight last night the accused was observed by city police operating a Pontiac Minivan the wrong way on Wellington Street near North Street. The van was observed striking the curb and crossing the center line on North Street approximately four times. When officers checked the driver they discovered her to be under the influence of alcohol. She is to appear in court on the 7th of January 2008.

Possession of Stolen Groceries

28 year-old Amy Lecompte of #8-21 Ferguson Avenue was arrested on the 20th of November at 5 pm on Churchill Avenue and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of fail to appear for prints. It is alleged that just before 5 pm on the 20th of November the accused attended at Pino’s IGA on Trunk Road a stole a bag of groceries valued at approximately $22.62. The accused was followed for a short distance by a store employee and police were called. Police located the accused walking on Churchill Avenue with the groceries in her possession. When officer ran a check on her they discovered that she was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for prints on a previous charged on the 8th of November. The accused is to appear in court on the 7th of January 2008.

Break & Enters

1) At 3:29 am this morning a homeowner on Albert Street East woke up and discovered a male inside his residence. The male fled with the complainant’s cell phone, cigarettes and some money. Police attended and could not locate the suspect. He is described as a heavy set male, approximately 200-230 pounds, 5’10 – 6 feet, wearing a black coat, dark clothing and a dark blue toque.

2) A shed on Palace Drive was broken into sometime during the past three days. Two bikes were reported stolen.

The following mischief reports were taken yesterday:

1) A vehicle on The Drive had the door locks pried sometime overnight on the 20th of November.

2) A passenger window and mirror were damaged on a vehicle parked at Mister Transmission on Pim Street overnight on the 20th of November.

3) A window of a residence on Queen Street East was broken overnight on the 20th of November.
