Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrants: 27 year-old Shawn Gravelle of 71 Pearson Drive in Elliot Lake was arrested on the 19th of November at 4:15 am and charged with one count of unlawfully at large and two counts of breach of probation.
Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrants:

27 year-old Shawn Gravelle of 71 Pearson Drive in Elliot Lake was arrested on the 19th of November at 4:15 am and charged with one count of unlawfully at large and two counts of breach of probation. On the 19th of November City police were notified by the Thessalon OPP Detachment that they had the accused in custody on an outstanding warrant held by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service. City police attended at the Detachment and arrested the accused at 4:15 am and transported him back the Sault to attend in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest:

A 44 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of November at 4:30 pm at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre where he was in custody and charged with four counts of breach of a release document and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused made a telephone call on the 28th of October to his ex-wife and on three occasions in the month of November he sent letters by mail to her. At the time of the incidents, the accused was on a recognizance release order and probation orders with conditions that he not communicate with her and he was to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Two Youths Attending Court Arrested on Outstanding Warrants:

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 18th of November at 9:45 am at the court house and charged with two counts of breach of a release order and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 18th of November the accused was in court on unrelated matters and at the time he was wanted on outstanding warrants in relation to breaching his curfew on the 13th of November and consuming alcohol, conditions of release and probation orders.

A 17 year-old male youth was also arrested on at the court house on the 18th of November at 11:15 am on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 16th of November.

Male Arrested for Mischief at the Royal Bank on Second Line West:

32 year-old Claude Meyers of 366 Henry Street was arrested on the 18th of November at 4:45 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 13th of November at approximately 10:12 pm the accused was at the Royal Bank on Second Line West and damaged the automated teller machine by punching and kicking it and then damaged the glass window pane of the door after kicking it. He is to appear in court on the 22nd of December.

Male Youth Arrested for Causing Damage at his Residence:

A 17 year-old male youth was arrested on the 18th of November at 7:11 pm at an east end residence and charged with one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 18th of November at approximately 5:45 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with his mother and damaged a wall inside their home when he punched a hole in it. He is to appear in court on the 23rd of December.

Female Youth Arrested for Assaulting Father:

A 15 year-old female youth was arrested on the 18th of November at 10:53 pm at her downtown residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 18th of November around 10:35 pm city police were called to a family dispute and when they arrived they discovered that the accused had assaulted her father by punching him and biting him in the arm. She is to appear in court on the 23rd of December.

Break and Enter Reports:


Andre’s Auto Recyclers on Peoples Road was entered sometime overnight on the 17th-18th of November. At this time nothing appears to be stolen.

A shed on Eastern Avenue was entered sometime between the middle of September and the 18th of November. A Coleman Powermate Generator was reported stolen.

Mischief Report:

A vehicle owner on Elaine Court called police yesterday morning after discovering the top box and the rear tail gate of his truck had spray paint on it. The owner did not know when or where the truck was spray painted.
