Two for Bail Court

1) A 12 year old male will be appearing in bail court this morning. It is alleged that on the 10th of November the accused left his residence at 9am and returned at 7pm. The accused was on an undertaking with a curfew to be in his residence by 5pm. He failed to do so and was subsequently charged.

2) A 15 year old male has been charged with 1 count of assault and will be appearing in bail court this morning. It’s believed that on the 11th of November the accused became involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend. The female attempted to walk away but kept getting grabbed and pulled back. Eventually the accused pushed the victim. She did not require any medical attention.

Copper wire theft

46 year old Kevin Mark Garlinghouse of 3412 East 3 Mile Road, Sault Ste Marie Michigan, and 44 year old Carla Marie Johnson of the same address have been charged with 1 count each of theft under $5000. It is believed that on the 7th of November the two accused attended at the new construction site for the Sault Area Hospitals on Great Northern Road. There they cut up pieces of copper wire and concealed it in their lunch boxes. While attempting to go threw US customs, the individuals were stopped and a search uncovered the items. They are both scheduled for court on the 15th of December.

Theft of beer

23 year old Jeremy Ross Goodmurphy of 186 Tancred Street has been charged with 1 count of theft under $5000. It’s believed that on the 10th of November the accused did steal 2 cases of Budweiser beer valued at $75 from the beer store located on Bruce Street. The accused was apprehended by a citizen and Police were called. He is schedule for court on the 8th of December.

Theft of Snow Machine

27 year old Lyle Basil John Dawson of 695 Shafer Ave has been charged with one count of theft under $5000, 1 count of possession of housebreaking tools and count of trespassing at night. It’s believed that on the 11 of November the accused was on the property of a fourth avenue address with the intent to steal. The accused was apprehended while trying to remove a piece from the sled. When searched the accused was found to be in possession of housebreaking tools. Mr. Dawson is to attend court on the 22nd of December.

Assault

A 15 year old girl has been charged with 1 count of assault. It is believed that on the 11th of November the accused attended in the smoking area of Alexander Henry and assaulted a female known to her by hitting her in the head numerous times. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused is to attend court on the 16th of December.

Mischief and thefts over the last 24hours

Between 730am and 530pm a residence in the 800 block of Queens Street East was broken into. Two speakers and some cd’s were taken.

A vehicle in the 100 block of Queen Street East was vandalized when someone spray painted it.
