A 16-year old female was arrested on an outstanding warrant for one count of possession of property obtained by crime for her involvement with a stolen vehicle from August of this year.

A 31-year old male was arrested around 2:30 am this morning and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend when she tried to keep him from driving a vehicle as he had been drinking. It is alleged that the accused punched the victim several times in the head.

Last evening around 9:30 pm while investigating a complaint of kids throwing a brick through a window on Spadina Avenue officers checked a group of kids in the area. As a result of this officers arrested three 14-year old males and charged each one with one count each of breach of a release order. All threes males were on conditions not to associate with each other.

Last evening officers from the City Police were kept busy with a number of calls related to Halloween evening:

Around 9 pm an adult male was assaulted by a group of approximately 15 kids after he confronted them about breaking pumpkins in the area of Spadina Avenue. All of the suspects were dressed in Halloween costumes. It is alleged that one of the youths also threw a brick through a window of a home on Spadina Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

Just before 8 pm last night there was a report of kids throwing items at vehicles on Bennett Boulevard. Officers were unable to locate any one.

Around 9:30 pm officers checked the overpass area on Great Northern Road by Root River for kids throwing eggs at vehicles. Officers were unable to locate anyone.

There were two reports of kids stealing candy from other kids last night. One of the incidents occurred near St. Gerard Majella Church on Pentagon Boulevard. Two youths believed to be about 14 years old, one dressed in a red helmet and hockey jersey and the other dressed in a black basketball shirt with the number 25 on it were responsible for one incident. The second incident occurred in the Broadview area were candy was taken from a teenager who was out. There is no description of the suspects in this incident.

Break & Enters

1) Yesterday morning Misty’s 50s reported a break and enter from the early morning hours. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

2) Yesterday morning between 8 am and 11 am a home on Patrick Street was entered and jewellery and liquor were taken.

3) Overnight on the 30th and 31st of October thieves entered a garage on Fish Hatchery Road but nothing was taken.

4) Yesterday afternoon between noon and 3:30 pm a home on Third Avenue was entered and jewellery was taken.

Vehicle Vandelism

Last evening around 10:30 pm a male between the ages of 14 to 18 years of age was observed scratching a number of vehicle at Northside Toyota Ltd. The male was wearing light coloured clothing and had a grey hooded sweatshirt on with the hood up. He was approximately 5’6” tall.
