The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) 25 year-old Gordon Bussineau of 440 Bush Street was arrested on the 22nd of May just after 6 pm and charged with two counts of break, enter and commit and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 22nd of May at around 5:20 pm the accused broke into a downtown residence and assaulted a male known to him by pushing him. It is alleged that the accused was looking for another male that was not at that residence. The accused then broke into the residence next door in search of the same male, located him and assaulted him by pushing him. It is further alleged that the accused threatened to put a gun to this male’s head. The accused then fled on foot and was apprehended by police shortly after. There was no weapon produced and there were no injuries reported.

When officers were searching the area for the accused in this incident they located another male in the area that ran from them. When officers checked this male they discovered that he was wanted on outstanding warrants for theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of a release order. This 15 year-old male was also arrested.

2) 51 year-old Sauro Greganti was arrested on an outstanding warrant just before 1 am on the 23rd of May at the city police station and charged with one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of cause a disturbance. It is alleged that on the 12th of May in the parking lot of a centrally located business, the accused threatened to beat up a male not known to him because he felt this male, that was driving in another vehicle in the lot cut him off. The accused continued to yell and swear and challenge the male.

3) A 17 year-old male was arrested last night around 9:30 pm on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of break, enter and commit and one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act of Ontario. It is alleged that one the 18th of May the accused broke into a central-area residence and stole some cash and jewellery.

4) A 16 year-old male was arrested on Gloucester Street last night just after 6:30 pm and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the city police were speaking with this male and at the time the male falsely identified himself. A further check revealed that this youth was wanted on outstanding warrants for threaten death or bodily harm and assault with a weapon. The accused was also charged with obstruct police.

The following break and enters were reported during the past 24 hours:

1) A residence on Bay Road was entered sometime over the long weekend. Items reported stolen were a lap top computer, a digital camera, a marine radio and some food.

2) A residence and garage on Carufel Avenue was entered between midnight and 6 am on the 22nd of May. Items reported stolen from the garage were a toolbox, some tools that including grinders and drills and a pressure washer. Items taken from the house included CD’S, DVD’S, a camera and some money.

3) There was an attempt break and enter to a residence on McMeekan Street some time yesterday. No entry was gained.

4) There was an attempt break and enter to the Soo Transmission on Pim Street. The culprit appears to have been scarred off by the alarm that was set off. Nothing was stolen and no entry was gained.

5) A homeowner on Carufel Avenue called police when he observed two males running from his garage and discovered it had been broken into and some tools stolen. The two males were described as being in their late teens. One male had a red hooded sweater, the other a lighter coloured sweater on.
