Female Arrested for Impaired Driving: 27 year-old Kathleen Running was arrested on the 19th of May at 9:35 pm on Wellington Street West and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit.
Female Arrested for Impaired Driving:

27 year-old Kathleen Running was arrested on the 19th of May at 9:35 pm on Wellington Street West and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 19th of May at approximately 9:16 pm the accused was operating a Chev Camero on Second Line West at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle when attempting to make a southbound turn onto Wellington Street West. The vehicle fish tailed, jumped the curb, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver and her 25 year-old female passenger were both transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The accused is to appear in court on the 22nd of June.

Male Arrested for Fraud Related Offences:

37 year-old Scott Erdman was arrested at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and charged with one count of fraud, one count of possession of a stolen credit card and one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 29th of March 2009, the accused used a credit card belonging to another male without his knowledge of consent. The accused removed $40.00 dollars from the victim’s account and shortly after deposited an empty envelope into his account claiming it had $1000.00. The accused made several attempts to withdraw the funds after that. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrests:

1) A 24 year-old male was arrested on the 20th of May at 1:44 am at a downtown residence and charged with one count of assault, three counts of breach of probation and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that on the 20th of May at approximately 1:30 am the accused got into a dispute with his common law spouse at their residence and he assaulted her by pushing her, slapping her in the face and punching her in the stomach. At the time of the offence the accused was under the influence of alcohol and was found in possession of a small amount of hash oil and is on probation conditions not to consume alcohol nor possess non-prescribed drugs and he was not to physically interfere with the victim. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) A 23 year-old female was arrested on the 19th of May at 9:21 am at a centrally located residence and charged with three counts of breach of a release document, three counts of breach of probation and two counts of threatening death or bodily harm. It is alleged that from the 10th -19th of May the accused attended at her ex-common law’s residence and was residing there when on release and probation conditions not to be there or associated with the him. The accused also threatened to kill him and their children. The accused was also on further conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. She is to appear in bail court this morning.

3) A 46 year-old male was arrested on the 19th of May at 5:48 pm at his residence and charged with one count of criminal harassment. It is alleged that on the 19th of May the accused called his ex-girlfriend several times and left threatening messages. The accused is also alleged to have driven by the victim’s residence on two separate occasions. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Shoplifters Arrested Yesterday:

1) 39 year-old Alain Chartrand of 864 Queen Street East, Room #42 was located on the 19th of May at 10:11 pm at his residence and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 17th of May the accused attended at the A & P store on Churchill Boulevard and walked out of the store with a full cart of unpaid groceries. He is to appear in court on the 29th of June.

2) 27 year-old Thomas Fields of 84 Smale Avenue was located on the 19th of May at 6:40 pm at his residence and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that at approximately 5:50 pm on the 19th of May the accused attended at the LCBO store in the Station Mall and stole a bottle of vodka. He is to appear in court on the 15th of June.
