Property Crimes

Break and Enter Report

• A residence in the 800 block of Peoples Road was entered yesterday. A Laptop, 2 Playstation controllers and an iPod were reported stolen.
• A rear door of a house on East Balfour was kicked in.

Thefts/Mischief to Vehicles

A number of vehicles were entered and some broken into, in the areas of Cedarwood Drive, Brunswick Avenue, Terrrance Avenue, Pine and Laura Avenue and McMeeken Street . Items reported stolen included wallets, identification, a credit card, a GPS System and change. Once again, city police would like to remind the public to lock their doors, park in busy, well lit areas and do not leave valuables in plain sight in the vehicle. If you leave items in your vehicle and they're visible, the chances your vehicle will get broken into increase greatly. Very few auto break-ins are "random". The thieves usually see something out in the open. Valuable items that thieves target are GPS units, MP3 players, credit cards, Laptops, money, purses, wallets, packages and so forth.
