The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 36 year-old male was arrested on the 6th of June around 2:15 am at central area bar and charged with one count of assault.
The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 36 year-old male was arrested on the 6th of June around 2:15 am at central area bar and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on this date just after 1:25 am the accused assaulted his common law wife at their central residence by grabbing her around the neck and choking her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

2) On the 5th of June around 1:30 pm, 19 year-old Keith Crack of 360 Seventh Avenue was arrested on several outstanding warrants on Highway 17th North near Pancake Bay by city police with the assistance of the Michipicoten Police. The accused was charged with four counts of breach of a release document, one count of threaten death or bodily harm and two counts of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance.

Assault & Threatening Death

25 year-old Barry Jeffrey of 129 Albert Street East was arrested on the 6th of June just before 3 am and charged with one count of assault peace officer and two counts of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on this date around 2:45 am city police attended for an alarm to Vital Clothing at 370 Queen Street East. When officers were approaching the store area the accused ran from them. After a short foot pursuit the accused was stopped on Albert Street East and while being questioned it is alleged that the accused pushed one of the officers back. When the accused was being arrested he threatened to kill the officers. There were no injuries reported and there was no entry gained into the Vital Clothing Store. The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of July .

Five Counts of Breach, Assault & Assault with a Weapon

On the 5th of June just after 9 am in the areas of Wellington Street East, 22 year-old Donna Purvis of 205 Wellington Street East was arrested by city police on several outstanding warrants. The accused has been charged with five counts of breach of a release document, one count of assault and one count of assault with a weapon. The accused is to appear in court on the 9th of July.

One Break & Enter

There was one attempt break and enter reported yesterday afternoon to a shed on Capp Avenue. There was nothing reported stolen.
