Two persons to appear in bail court Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female for theft, possession of a controlled substance and failing to appear for identification.

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female for theft, possession of a controlled substance and failing to appear for identification. It is alleged that at approximately 5:50 pm yesterday, the accused entered the Canadian Tire Store and stole a backpack, valued at $ 180.00. It is further alleged that upon arresting the accused the officers located a 3 grams of marihuana on the accused. Officers also learned that the accused was wanted on warrants for failing to appear for identification and for theft under $ 5,000. Lore-Lei Gabow, age 43, of 235 Poplar Ave is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of failing to appear for identification and two counts of theft under $ 5,000.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team arrested a 28-year-old female
on charges of breach of a recognizance and possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that the accused breached her recognizance release order by consuming alcohol and failing to notify a change of address. It is further alleged that upon arresting the accused officers located 21 packages of crack cocaine on her person. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be $ 840. Kimberly Rankin, age 28, of no fixed address is charged with two counts of breach of a recognizance, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Male arrested for possession of a controlled substance

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team arrested a 38-year-old male on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that the accused was found to be in possession of 8.4 grams of marihuana. Christopher Mark, age 38 of 594 MacDonald Ave Unit # 4 is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. He will be appearing in court on August 9th at 9:00 am.

Youth arrested for theft under $ 5,000

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male on a charge of theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Sears Store and stole sunglasses, a watch and jewelllery valued at $ 89.97. The youth is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and will be appearing in court July 29th at 9:30 am.

Break and enter

Break and enters were reported to residences in the 100 block of Walnut St., the 100 block of Park Place Dr and the 100 block of Grace St. Electronics and a bicycle were taken. An attempted break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Atwater St.

Mischief
Construction equipment was damaged in the 1100 block of Old Goulais Bay Rd.

Theft
Vehicles were entered in the 1900 block of Queen St. E., the 200block of Farwell Terr. and the 100 block of Park Place Dr. Electronics were stolen from the vehicles.
A bicycle was stolen from the 300 block of Third Line E.
