Theft Charges Laid On Tuesday night at approx. 9:00pm City Police were called to Kelly’s Grocery at the Station Mall regarding a male shoplifter.

On Tuesday night at approx. 9:00pm City Police were called to Kelly’s Grocery at the Station Mall regarding a male shoplifter. It is alleged that employees observed 48yr old Caleb Perreault of 340 Hwy 17 East placing meats and other items into his backpack. Mall security was notified and shortly after arrested the accused. The accused attempted to escape and did struggle with security. City Police attended and took the male into custody. Caleb Perreault has been charged with 1 count of theft under $5000, 1 count escape custody, 1 count of resist arrest and 1 count of threaten death to the security guard. He will appear in court on July 18th.

Male Charged with Breach of an Undertaking

48 yr old William Hall of 153 Alexandra Street will appear in court on the 18th of July for breaching his release documents. It is alleged that the accused did not notify his change of address between the 1st of March 2005 and the 14th of June 2005. As a result at 2:40 pm yesterday afternoon Police attended at 153 Alexandra Street and arrested the accused. William Hall has been arrested with 1 count of breach of undertaking.

Youth Charged with Threatening Death

A 15 yr old youth was arrested yesterday afternoon in the west end of the city by Police. It is alleged that on the 7th of June the accused threatened to kill the complainant who was a teacher of theirs at a local high school. The accused has been charged with 1 count of threaten death and will appear in court on the 18th of July.
