Second Male Youth Charged For Possession of Stolen Property from Garage Break & Enter

A second male youth was arrested on the 8th of July at 9:48 am at his residence for his involvement in a stolen Honda motorcycle from a break and enter to a garage in the early morning hours on the 7th of July to a residence in the 200 block of Shannon Road. The 15 year-old accused is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 7th of July the accused had the stolen motorcycle at his residence after the break and enter. The accused is to appear in court on the 12th of August.

Male Arrested for Fraud Related Offences

47 year-old Robyn Davis of #105-393 Albert Street West was arrested on the 8th of July around 10 am at her residence and charged with two count so of attempt fraud, two counts of fraud, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of utter forged document. It is alleged that on the 29th of June at 6:26 am the accused attended at the Mac’s Mart on Gore Street with a credit card that she had stolen from a person known to her, and used it to make a purchase of $296.27. On the same day, at 11:05 am the accused attended at Ward law Fuels and attempted to make a purchase with the same stolen credit card, but the transaction was denied. The accused was recorded by store videos in both incidents. At the time of the incidents the accused was on a release order to notify change of address and she failed to do so.
She is to appear in court on the 18th of August.

Youth Found in Possession of Drugs Charged at Local Youth Home

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested at a local Youth Home on the 8th of July at 6:55 pm and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 8th of July the accused was found in possession of a small amount of marihuana at the Youth Home. At the time the accused was on probation with conditions that he keep the peace and be of good behaviour and was also on conditions not to possess any non-prescription drugs. He is to appear in court on the 12th of August.

Youth Charged for Shoplifting

A 14 year-old youth was arrested on the 8th of July at 8:20 pm and charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000.00. It is alleged that the accused attended at Sears in the Station Mall and stole a bottle of cologne. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 12th of August.

Robbery at Canadian Tire Gas Bar

City police were called to a robbery at just before 5 am this morning to the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Great Northern Road. A lone male entered the gas bar and attempted to use a credit card to purchase two cartons of cigarettes, but the card was denied. The accused produced what appeared to be an ice pick and grabbed the cartons from the clerk and ran from the store. City police attended, but were unsuccessful in located the suspect. The clerk was not physically injured.
The male is described as approximately 40 years of age, with a scruffy beard.
Police continue to investigate the robbery at this time.

Break and Enters Reports

City police were called to the Sault Ste. Marie Club Golf Club on Queen Street East just before 4 am this morning regarding a break and enter to the Chimney Corner Serving Store located on the course
A witness from a residence in the area observed two males wearing dark clothing with hoods on, on foot carrying what appeared to be garbage bags across the course area to Boundary Road. Another residence witness in the area of the golf course, reported seeing a suspicious male wearing dark clothing, pacing back and forth near a dark coloured vehicle on Boundary Road in the area of the golf course.
Officers attended in the area but could not locate the suspicious males or the vehicle.
Officers learned that the store had been entered and an undetermined amount of alcohol was stolen.
The investigation is ongoing.

Mischief Reports

A window on a door was smashed at the F. H. Clergue School last night around 11:37 pm. A resident witness in the area observed two youths approximately 10 -13 years of age, on bikes smashed the door window and take off towards McNabb Street. Officers attended but could not locate the youths in the area.

A vehicle parked on Joel Court was damaged when a youth kicked the rear door around 8:20 pm last evening. The youth was observed by a witness. Police continue to investigate.
