OPP Charge Sault Ste. Marie Man with Child Pornography Offences:

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Child Sexual Exploitation Section (Project P), in conjunction with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have arrested a Sault Ste. Marie man following an online undercover child pornography investigation.

On Tuesday July 7th, 2009, police executed a search warrant at a Sault Ste. Marie residence and seized two computers containing images of child sexual abuse.

On Tuesday July 7th, 2009, police arrested and charged 27 year old Robert Osborne of 29 Market Street with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Make Available Child Pornography. The accused was further charged with two count of Careless Storage of a Firearm after officers located an insecure .12 gauge shotgun and insecure ammunition in the residence.
The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Three to Appear in Bail Court Today

1) 30 year-old Michael Fabbricino of no fixed address was arrested on the 7th of July on Baseline and charged with one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and one count of Breach of a Release Document. It is alleged that on the 7th of July the accused attended at a residence and assaulted a person known to him by punching and kicking him. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) 22 year-old Michael Hodgson of 27 Nebenaigoching Street in the Rankin Reserve was arrested on the 7th of July at 4:40 pm on Tancred Street and charged with one count of Assault and one count of Threatening Death or Bodily Harm. It is alleged that on the 7th of July around 2:30 pm the accused attended at an east end residence, assaulted a male known to him and then threatened to kill him. The accused fled prior to police arrival but was located a short while later on Tancred Street. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

3) 21 year-old Justin McKay of #1-226 Cathcart Street was arrested on John Street on the 8th of July at 2:55 am on outstanding warrants and charged with one count of Break, Enter and Commit, one count of Aggravated Assault, one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm, one count of Possession of a Weapon for Purpose Dangerous to the Public and two counts of Breach of Probation.

Shoplifters Arrested:

1) 33 year-old Rae-Ann Perrault of 340 Hwy 17 B in Garden River was charged with one count of Theft Under $5,000.00 yesterday at Zellers in the Station Mall after she allegedly attended at the store just before 3 pm and stole some merchandise. She is to appear in court on the 17th of August.

2) A 17 year-old female was charged with one count of Theft Under $5,000.00 yesterday at Zellers in the Station Mall after she allegedly attended at the store and stole items from the Pharmacy area. She is to appear in court on the 11th of August.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:


• A residence on Birch Street was entered around 5:18 am yesterday. It is not known what was taken.
• A residence in the 400 block of First Avenue was entered around 9:27 pm last night. Jewellery was reported taken.

Thefts:

• Vehicles were entered overnight on Hugill Street and Alexandra Street.
• A sign was reported stolen from outside the Norgoma on Foster Drive.
• A bicycle was stolen from the YMCA property.

Mischief Report:

Graffitti was left on a CSO tank on Shore Drive at Bellevue Park.
