Three males to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 30-year-old male and charged him with one count of sexual assault and one count of threatening death. It is alleged that on June 15th 2010 the victim was visiting at the accused’s residence when he sexually assaulted her. It is further alleged that the accused then threatened to kill the victim.

Yesterday at approximately 12:05 pm members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male and charged him with one count of attempt to obstruct justice and one count of breach of an order. It is alleged that between June 1st and July 3rd 2010 the accused contact his ex-common-law girlfriend in attempts to have her withdraw charges against him. It is further alleged that at the time of these incidents the accused was on a release order prohibiting him from contacting the victim.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old male and charged him with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference. It is alleged that between May 2008 and August 2008 the accused sexually assaulted a female known to him. It is further alleged that between May 2009 and August 2009 the accused sexually assaulted the same female victim.

Two young males arrested for break and enter

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a two young males, aged 13 and 16. It is alleged that the two youth attended at a residence, in the central part of the city, and broke into that residence. It is further alleged that one inside they stole a quantity of electronic equipment valued at over $1, 700. The youth are each charged with one count of break and enter and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. They will be appearing in court on August 10th at 9:30 am.

Break and enter

A residence in the 100 block of Dennis St was broken into. Alcohol was reported stolen.

Mischief

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Greenview lane was damaged. A fence was damaged at a residence the 100 block of Trunk Rd.

Theft

A vehicle parked in the Station mall was entered and items were stolen. Cash and electronic items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Illinois Ave.
