CHARGED WITH FRAUD & FORGERY Yesterday at approximately 4:00 p.m.
CHARGED WITH FRAUD & FORGERY
Yesterday at approximately 4:00 p.m., the accused, Matthew Caudle age 19 of 169 Biggings Avenue, allegedly committed fraud and forgery by signing a check belonging to a third party and attempting to withdraw money from the account, which he knew had no money.

The accused also allegedly uttered a forged document by giving it to a co-accused, Andrew Little, age 19 of 576 Sherbourne Street, to cash. Little also had in his possession a Canada Pension cheque he knew had been stolen from a local resident.

The accused, Little, was also on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Both males were subsequently arrested and charged with fraud, forgery, uttering a forged document, possession of stolen property. Both will appear in court Sept. 8, 2003


YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
Yesterday at approximately 10:00pm, a 14-year-old and the victim were at a home in the east end of the City. A disagreement led to the accused punching the victim twice in the back by the left shoulder blade.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. the accused was arrested by officers and charged with assault. A police check revealed the accused was on probation and was subsequently charged with breaching the probation order. The youth will appear in bail court today at 1:30 p.m.


TRAFFIC STOP NETS MANY CHARGES
Today shortly after midnight, Charles Roderick Bradbury age 47, was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle. The accused, at the time, had signs of impairment.

A police records check revealed the licence plates attached to the vehicle were stolen from Hamilton, Ontario. In addition, the accused was also found to be a prohibited driver with previous impaired conviction. He will be appearing in bail court today at 1:30 p.m.


DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE
Early today, police were called to a residence in the west end for a domestic disturbance. Patrol officers learned the accused assaulted the victim by punching him and pulling his hair.

During the arrest, the accused female resisted arrest by kicking at the officers. No injuries were incurred. The accused was charged with assault and resisting arrest. She will be appearing in bail court today at 1:30 p.m.


BREAK & ENTERS
The Norgoma and the Millinium Skate Board Shop, 120 Dennis Street reported break and enters that occurred overnight. What has been taken is undetermined at his time.

Unknown person(s) entered a residence in the 100 block of MacGregor Street in the early afternoon yesterday and stole a purse.

Police received a report on a break and enter that occurred overnight in the 500 block of Morin Street. A shed had been entered and a quantity of power tools and yard items were stolen.

Police are asking if anyone has information regarding these break and enters or any other crimes to call City Police at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers.
