Male to appear in bail court

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 46-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault and one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on July 17th the accused threw a beer bottle and his ex-girlfriend, striking her on the arm. It is further alleged that on July 20th the accused pushed his ex-girlfriend out of a vehicle. Victim did not require medical attention as a result of these two assaults.

Male arrested for assault and threatening

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 68-year-old male. It is alleged that on July 19th the accused male assaulted another male, known to him, by punching him in the face. It is further alleged that the accused then threatened to kill the victim. Dale Laroue, age 68, of 1569 base Line is charged with one count of assault and one count of threatening. Mr. Laroue will be appearing in court on
Aug 23rd at 9:00 am.

Break and enter

An attempt break and enter was reported early yesterday morning. Unknown person(s) attempted to break into a residence in the 400 block of Queen St. W. Home owner scared the suspect(s) off.

Theft

Bicycles were reported stolen from the 700 block of Wellington St. W. and the 100 block of Albert St. W.
Vehicle plates 9 # 7008Wy) were reported stolen from the 600 block of Great Northern Rd.

Mischief

Lawn ornaments were damaged in the 500 block of Placid Ave.
The front lawn of a residence in the 1900 block of Peoples Rd was torn up.
