Five persons to appear in bail court:

1. A 31-year-old male has been charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that on June 29th and again on June 30th the accused attended at the residence of his common-law girlfriend and assaulted her by pushing her to the ground and kicking her. The victim did not require medical attention.

2. A 49-year-old male was arrested on June 30th and charged with two counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of careless storage. It is alleged that on Monday June 30th at approx.8:00 pm the accused was at his girlfriend’s residence and while there became involved in an argument. During the argument the accused assaulted his girlfriend by punching her in the head. A second female present at the residence was also allegedly punched in the head and then assaulted with a chair. Police attended and arrested the accused. During the police investigation officers located an unsafely stored firearm belonging to the accused. The two victims did not require medical attention.

3. 20-year-old Scott Robinson, of 283 Korah Rd. was arrested yesterday on a warrant for failing to appear for court. It is alleged that the accused fail to attend in court on Nov. 22nd 2008 on a charge of possession of property obtained by crime.

4. A 21-year old male was arrested yesterday and charge with one count of threatening. It is alleged that on July 1st at approx. 10:45 pm the accused sent an e-mail message to his ex-girlfriend in which he threatened to assault her. Police located the accused at his home address in the downtown area.

5. A 41-year-old male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused male breached his probation by attending at his ex-girlfriend’s residence yesterday evening.

Male arrested for break and enter:

On Monday June 30th at approx. 1:15 am city police were called to attend at a residence in the downtown area regarding a break and enter in progress. It is alleged that when police arrived they located the accused in the building. Andrew Swan, age 43, of 772 Wellington St. E. apt # 202 was arrested and charged with one count of break and enter, one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of an undertaking. At the time of this offence the accused was on probation with conditions that he keep the peace. The accused was also on an undertaking release with a condition that he not consume alcohol. It is alleged that the accused had consume alcohol prior to his arrest. He will be appearing in court on Aug 11tgh at 9:00 am.

Break and enters reported:

Two break-ins were reported yesterday a residence in the 100 block of Centennial Ave was entered -a bicycle was reported stolen. A 32” TV, an X-BOX and a lap top were reported stolen from a break-in in the 800 block of Queen St. E.

Mischief reports:

Vehicles were reported damaged in the following locations over the holiday:

The 100 block of Albert St. W., the 900 block of Wellington St.E., 100 block of Florwin Dr. and the 200 block of Albert St. E.
A residence in the 100 block of Blucher St. had the front door damaged.
Solar lights at a residence in the 100 block of Johnson Ave were damaged.
A window was damaged at a residence in the 1000 block of Wellington St. E.
A street sign was damaged in the 600 block of Albert St. E.

Thefts:

Vehicles were entered in the following locations:

the 400 block of Shannon Rd, the 100 block of Silver Birch Dr. the 100 block of Indiana Dr., the 100 block of Albert St.W. - a car stereo was taken, the 600 block of Albert St. E.- a purse was stolen
Lawn ornaments were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Melville Rd.
A credit card was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Pine St.
