Three Males Arrested During Vehicle Stop On the 6th of January at 2:28 am city police made a vehicle stop on Blucher Street that resulted in three males being arrested for breaching probation conditions.

On the 6th of January at 2:28 am city police made a vehicle stop on Blucher Street that resulted in three males being arrested for breaching probation conditions. The male driver, 24 year-old Robert McGregor of #301-Goulais Avenue was found to be under the influence of alcohol and on conditions not to consume alcohol. He was issued a 3 day suspension as a result of his breathalyzer readings. Two male passengers inside the vehicle were not to associate or communicate with each other, to keep the peace and be good and not to consume any alcohol. Both males were found to be under the influence of alcohol and one of the males also had a curfew to be in his residence between 11 pm and 6 am daily. As a result, 23 year-old Brandon Horner of 23 Chicora Crescent was charged with four counts of breach of probation and 24 year-old Mitchell Waite of 21 St. Basils Drive was charged with three counts of breach of probation.

Female Impaired Driver Arrested after Single Motor Vehicle Collision

48 year-old Carol Wishman of 466 Brule Road was arrested on the 5th of January at 8:41 pm on Carpin Beach Road and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that on the 5th of January just before 8 pm the accused was involved in a single motor vehicle collision rollover in the 700 block of Carpin Beach Road that resulted in a power outage in the area when the vehicle in which she was operating struck a PUC power pole. The accused was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the scene and subsequently arrested. She is to appear in court on the 8th of February.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 41 year-old male was arrested on the 5th of January at 11:15 am at his residence on outstanding domestic related warrants. He was charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm, two counts of assault and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that in early December and sometime between the 2nd and 3rd of January the accused assaulted his common law spouse at their residence on three occasions. The assaults resulted in non-life threatening injuries to the victim. At the time of the incidents, the accused was on probation conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the victim and to keep the peace and be good.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

32 year-old Jason Pinsent of 2 Range Road Shetland Trailer Park was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 5th of January at 6:40 pm on Wellington Street West and charged with one count of fail to appear court in relation to a an assault charged from the 13th of May. It is alleged that at approximately 2:20 am on that date, he assaulted the bar owner at a local drinking establishment. He is to appear in court on the 8th of February.

Theft Reports

• Vehicles were entered on Bristol Place, East Balfour Street, Doncaster Road, Hare Avenue, Princeton Drive, Prentice Avenue, Queensgate Boulevard and Queen Street East. Some of the items reported stolen included change, sunglasses, a pocket knife, wallets, identification, a Nexus card, a purse and a vehicle battery.
• A toboggan was reported stolen from Alexandra Street.
• A licence plate was stolen off a vehicle on Biggings Avenue.

Mischief Report

A front door and window of a residence on Champagne Drive were reported damaged when a beer bottle was thrown from a moving vehicle. The vehicle was grey in colour and has possibly 2-4 youths inside.

Overnight Robbery at Mac’s Convenience on Boundary Road

On the 5th of January at 9:15 pm city police were called regarding a robbery at the store. At approximately 9:12 pm a lone male entered the store, brandished a knife, grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the till and then fled on foot. Police immediately attended in the area and searched for the male with negative results. The male suspect is described as being Native Canadian, in his 40’s, approximately 6’2, medium build, wearing a dark hoodie on his head, a jacket and dark mitts. The clerk was not physically injured.
