The following persons will appear in bail court this morning: 1) A 29-year old male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his wife by pushing her.
The following persons will appear in bail court this morning:

1) A 29-year old male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his wife by pushing her. The incident occurred early yesterday morning in a residence.

2) A 23-year old male was arrested yesterday by officers from Investigation Services and charged with one count of attempt to obstruct justice and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on December 29th the accused contacted his ex-girlfriend by phone while on a release document with conditions not to communicate with her. It is further alleged that the male also requested that the victim change her testimony for an upcoming court appearance.

3) Yesterday afternoon officers from Patrol Services arrested a 20-year old male and charged him with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common law wife yesterday morning while in their home by pushing her.

4) A 16-year old youth was arrested last evening on an outstanding warrant for two counts of breach of a release order. It is alleged that in November of 2006 the accused was in the company of a female he was not to be with as per a condition of a release document. It is further alleged that also during that time frame the accused was out of his residence without his surety.

5) 22-year old William Shubrook of no fixed address was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of break and enter and commit an offence and one count of fail to attend court. It is alleged that in July of 2006 the accused broke into a home on Wilcox Avenue and was arrested a short distance away. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear in court in October of 2006 on these charges. It is further alleged that on the 6th of November the accused pawned an Ipod, an MP3 Player, 4 X-box games and other items, all of which had been reported stolen.

6) 24-year old Wayne Briscoe of 800 Great Northern Road was arrested last evening and charged with one count of break and enter and commit an offence. It is alleged that in September the accused broke into Avery Construction on Second Line West and stole a safe containing an undisclosed amount of money.

Possession of Stolen Credit Card & Property Obtained in a Crime

52-year old Dawna Edgar of basement-176 Elgin Street was arrested and charged yesterday with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of fraudulently use a credit card and one count of possession of a stolen credit card. It is alleged that in December of 2006 the accused stole a purse from a vehicle and used the credit card belonging to the victim. The accused will appear in court on January 29th.

Disturbance at Smack Daddy's Too

Just after 1:30 am this morning officers from Patrol Services attended at Smack Daddy’s Too for a male causing a disturbance in the bar. The accused was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of breach of probation. When officers searched the accused they found a small amount of marijuana. 41-year old Allan Steinfort of 69 Pittsburgh Avenue will appear in court on February 5th.

Mischief at Marrello Trucking

Yesterday afternoon officers attended at Marrello Trucking on Yates Avenue for a report of mischief. Two dump trucks had their windows broken and their tires slashed.

Theft of Power Tools

A homeowner on Caesar Road had a cargo trailer entered and a large quantity of power tools was taken. The investigation is continuing into this theft.

In the last 24-hour period the following break and enters were reported:

1) Sometime between Friday December 29th and Tuesday January 2nd The Tire People on Drive In Road was entered and over 30 tires were taken.

2) Between 4 pm on the 1st of January and 11 am on the 2nd of January thieves broke into a garage on St. Georges Avenue West but nothing was taken.

3) Between the 29th of December and the 2nd of January a residence in the 600 block of Wellington Street West was entered but nothing was taken.

4) Last evening just after 8 pm a homeowner of Sheppard Street reported an attempt break and enter.
