Domestic Related Arrest
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19 year-old male at 5:10 am this morning and charged him with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that from the 30th of December to the 25th of January the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her. Officers also learned that on an earlier occasion during their relationship the accused held a gun to the victim’s head.

Male Arrested for Breaching Conditions
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 21 year-old Matthew Evans- Moreau of no fixed address at 4:12 pm yesterday on Queen Street West and charged him with two counts of breach of probation, one count of disobey a court order and one count of possession of stolen property.

It is alleged that on the 25th of January around 3:15 pm the accused was operating a motor vehicle with no plates affixed to it on James Street and at the time he was on conditions that he not operate any motor vehicle and he was to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Officers investigating the incident were also aware the accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant for possession of stolen property from November 2010.

The accused is to appear in court on the 28th of February.

Theft Reports
Two vehciles were reported entered overnight on the evening of the 24th. The first was on Kohler Street that had a GPS stolen from it. The other was on Wallace Terrance that had CD’s and change stolen.

Mischief Report
A TD bank machine in the 300 block of Trunk Road was vandalized. There may have been an attempt to break into the machine.
