Assault With A Weapon

52 year-old Michael Duggan of 428 McNabb Street was arrested at the city police station on the 15th of January at 11:43 am after turning himself in and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of threatening death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 30th of November 2007 at approximately 8 pm the accused, while at a centrally located business, got into a verbal argument with a 66 year-old male known to him, pulled out a knife, made a stabbing motion towards him and threatened to stick him with it. There was no contact made with the knife and no injuries reported to the victim. The accused is to appear in court on the 25th of February.

Impaired Driving

24 year-old Shawn Dubois of 201 Old Garden River Road was arrested on the 16th of January on Old Garden River Road at 4:03 am and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over legal limit. It is alleged that around 3:51 am city police received information of a possible impaired driver in the area of Old Garden River Road. Officers checking the area observed the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Old Garden River Road and then make an aggressive turn into a driveway of a residence. When officers checked the driver, the accused, they discovered he was under the influence of alcohol and that this was his address. He is to appear in court on the 25th of February.

Break & Enter

There was a break and enter reported overnight to CJ’S Pizza located on Trunk Road. An alarm was activated at the business at 4:17 am. Officers attended and discovered a broken window and checked the area with negative results. The break and enter was captured on video at the business. The lone suspect was a male, wearing a black hoody pulled over his head, a dark cloth covering his face area, a ball cap with a scrambled egg type patch on the peak, brown boots or runners and green coveralls with a black waist ban belt. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
