Domestic Related Arrest: Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 44 year-old male yesterday afternoon on an outstanding warrant in relation to a domestic related incident.

Domestic Related Arrest:  

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 44 year-old male yesterday afternoon on an outstanding warrant in relation to a domestic related incident.  He is charged with count of threatening and is to appear in bail court this morning.

Youth Charged for Threatening Fellow Student at School:  

High School Liaison officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 15 year-old male youth yesterday morning and charged him with one count of threaten death or bodily harm.  It is alleged that on the 28th of February the accused threatened a fellow student at a local high school.  The youth is to appear in court on the 3rd of April. 

Break and Enters, Theft and Mischief Reports:

  • Several offices and storage areas were broken into at a business on Huron Street. Offices and property were heavily damaged with spray paint and by a fire extinguisher being discharged inside, computer monitors and other electronic property were also smashed.   
  • A business on Korah Road was broken into last night.
  • Gas was stolen from a delivery vehicle on Industrial Court. 
  • A locker at a local health club was entered yesterday morning.  A wallet containing identification and credit cards and a Blackberry Torch were stolen. 

E-Mail Fraud Alert:

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received information yesterday afternoon about another computer scam occurring in the Toronto area.  No local complaints have been received, but police would like to advise the public so that they do not fall victim to this scam.

The alert is for anyone with a Rogers Account and involves an email being sent by persons claiming to be with Rogers Customer Care.  The e-mail message advises the customer that their e-mail needs to be updated with our released F-Secure Internet Security 2012 new version of a better resource webmail spam and viruses.  If you have not upgraded your account, click reply and fill in the columns below to send it back so we can update our database account immediately.  Failure to update will process your webmail.rci.rogers.com account being temporarily blocked or suspended from our network and may not be able to receive or send e-mail due to the update.
