Search Warrent Leads to Possession Charges

On the 24 February 2009 members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team as well as members from Investigation Services executed a search warrant on a residence at 412 Connaught Avenue. As a result of this Yvette Gagne age 37 of 412 Connaught Ave. has been charged with four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00. She will appear in court on the 23 March 2009 at 09:00 am. Also charged and facing numerous charges is Frank Joseph Caicco age 44 of 27 Raymond St. in Sault Ste. Marie. At the time of arrest he resisted and did assault two police officers. He will appear in Bail court today charged with the following offences.
• 3 Counts of Break, enter and theft
• 4 counts of possession of property obtained by crime
• 1 count of theft under
• 2 counts of personation with intent
• 2 counts of fraud
• 1 count of used stolen credit card
• 4 counts of breach of probation
This investigation is ongoing, the break and enters were to homes on Cooper St., Mount Pleasant Drive and Third Line West. The personation and fraud charges stem from the use of stolen Identification and credit cards.
Police are attempting to locate property reported taken from a break and enter described as a Cornwall Royals memorial cup ring with #18 inscribed on both sides as well as an older gold Rolex wrist watch. Inscribed on the back is the name “Mitchell”.

Yesterday Police were called to a break and enter to Planetary Pride on Queen St. Entry was gained but nothing appears to be taken.
