Suspicious Fire Last evening around 7:20 pm City Police and Fire Services were called to a house fire in the 100 block of Capp Avenue. The residence is a vacant home and damage was minimal. The fire has been deemed suspicious.

Last evening around 7:20 pm City Police and Fire Services were called to a house fire in the 100 block of Capp Avenue. The residence is a vacant home and damage was minimal. The fire has been deemed suspicious. Today officers from Investigation Services, along with Fire Inspectors from Fire Services will continue their investigation.
Breach of Release Document

A 17-year old youth will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested on outstanding warrants. The warrants relate to one count of fail to appear for fingerprints, one count of fail to appear in court and two counts of breach of release document.

Male Charged with Criminal Harassment

A 44-year old male will appear in bail court today after being arrested yesterday afternoon. It is alleged that between the 6th and the 13th of February the accused left a number of phone calls on the answering machine of his ex-wife causing the victim to fear for her safety. The accused has been charged with one count of criminal harassment.

Mischief Charges Laid

A 25-year old male will also appear in bail court today on domestic related charges. It is alleged that on the 17th of February the accused communicated with his ex-girlfriend while on a release document not to communicate with her. He has been charged with one count of breach of a release order in relation to this matter. Also on the same date it is alleged that the accused threatened a male and also broke a screen door of the male’s downtown residence. The accused has been charged with one count of threatening to cause bodily harm or death and one count of mischief under $5,000 in relation to this matter.

Domestic Dispute

A 26-year old female will also appear in bail court this morning after being charged in relation to a domestic dispute. Her 39-year old boyfriend was also charged in the incident. It is alleged that shortly before 2 am the 2 persons were in the downtown area and got into a verbal argument. It is alleged that the female assaulted the male by pushing his head against a window, hitting him with her shoes and purse. The male assaulted the female by slapping her. Both accused have each been charged with one count of assault. The female will appear in bail court today and the male will appear in court on April 6th.

News Release from the 20th:

On the 19th, 3 homeowners in the 100 block of Terry Fox Place reported their residences entered overnight. Items taken include cigarettes, a small amount of money, a wallet and a digital camera.

Update:

Yesterday morning officers from Investigation Services arrested a second youth in relation to the above break and enters. The 15-year old youth has been charged with 3 counts of break and enter and commit an offence. The youth will appear in court on March 29th.

3 Females Charges

3 females will all appear in court on April 4th after they attended at another female’s residence on the 21st of February. It is alleged that the 3 accused persons attended at a downtown residence and forced their way into the address. Two of the accused threatened the victim and one of the accused assaulted the victim by grabbing her by the shoulders. The victim did not receive any injuries. 23-year old Mandy McCleary of main floor-350 Bloor Street West has been charged with one count of forcible entry. 21-year old Hillary Cartmill of upstairs –350 Bloor Street West has been charged with one count of forcible entry and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm. 24-year old Amy Carson of main floor-350 Bloor Street West has been charged with one count of forcible entry, one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm and one count of assault.
