HAPPY NEW YEAR

While this is a time to enjoy the festivities and celebrate the coming of a New Year, the City Police would like to offer the following tips to help citizens stay safe.

• Motorists are urged to use extra caution and common sense when traveling on icy road ways.
• If you plan on drinking be sure to designate a sober driver, or utilize public transportation.
• Attend celebrations and events in groups, rather then traveling alone to ensure safety.
• Make sure to secure homes, vehicles and properties to thwart off thieves.
• Purses and beverages should never be left unattended.
