Three Males Charged with Mischief: Yesterday morning city police charged Taylor Twentyman, Justin Miceli and Jordan Belsito-Boissoneau with one count of mischief.
Three Males Charged with Mischief:

Yesterday morning city police charged Taylor Twentyman, Justin Miceli and Jordan Belsito-Boissoneau with one count of mischief. It is alleged that on October 25th the three accused attended at a residence in the 1200 block of Goulais Ave and damaged a mailbox at that location. This charge was laid as part of an on-going police investigation into the October 12th – 25th mailbox mischief occurrences. Police had received in excess of 34 complaints of mischief to mailboxes during that time period. Taylor Twentyman, age 18, of 133 Murphy St, Justin Miceli, age 19, of 40 hardwood St. and Jordan Belsito-Boissoneau, age 18 of 133 Murphy St are all charged with one count of mischief under $ 5,000. They will be appearing in court on Jan. 12th, 2009 at 9:00 am.

Male charged with Impaired Driving:

Yesterday afternoon at approx. 2:40 pm city police attended on Herkimer St regarding a vehicle in a snow bank. Upon speaking to the driver the officers determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. Jamie Lethbridge, age 28, of 2889 Base Line is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 880 mgs. He will be appearing in court on Jan. 26th at 9:00 am.

Two females charged with Theft Under $ 5,000.

1) Yesterday afternoon at approx. 12:50 pm city police were called to the Zellers Store at 306 Northern Ave regarding a shoplifter. It is alleged that the accused attended in the games section of Zellers and concealed six Nintendo DS games, valued at $ 129.94, in her bag and then left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. She was apprehended outside the store by store security and turned over to police. Charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 is Jennifer Adams, age 26, of 108 Albert St. E. She will be appearing in court on Jan. 19th at 9:00 am.

2) Yesterday at approx. 3:00 pm city police were called to the Wal-Mart Store, located at 446 Great Northern Rd., regarding a female shoplifter. It is alleged that the accused attended in the cosmetics section of Wal-Mart and selected $ 30.66 worth of mascara and make-up and hid the items in her purse. The accused was apprehended when she left the store by store security. Charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 is Elizabeth Laforge, age 44 of 1001 Second Line W. Unit 53. She will be appearing ion court on Jan. 26th at 9:00 am

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service would like to remind motorists to take the extra time to check for pedestrians at intersections before turning right or left. This request is made as a result of several complaints the police service has received from pedestrians complaining that vehicles have come close to striking them on several occasions in then past few weeks. Please slow down at intersections and be careful of ice under the snow. Thank you for your assistance on this matter.
