Three persons to appear in bail court:

Early this morning city police were called to a west end residence regarding a mischief complainant. As a result of their investigation officers arrested a 15-year-old male and charged him with one count of mischief and two counts of breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that the youth damaged furnishings in the residence and was also intoxicated. The accused was on a recognizance release order to abstain from consuming alcohol.

At approx. 10:00 pm last night city police were called to attend on Forest Ave regarding a domestic dispute. Investigating officers located both involved parties and subsequently arrested and charged both persons.

It is alleged that the 24-year-old male assaulted his ex-girlfriend by punching her. It is further alleged that the accused breached conditions of his probation communicating with the female victim, by interfering with her and by failing to keep the peace. The accused was also on a peace bond release. The male accused is charged with one count of assault, two counts of breach of a peace bond and three counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that the 23-year-old female assaulted her ex-boyfriend by striking him on the head with a beer bottle. The accused is charged with one count of assault with a weapon. The male victim suffered minor cuts to the head but did not require medical treatment.

Two impaired drivers arrested:

1) Last night at approx. 9:20 pm city police were called to attend on Great Northern Rd north of Second Line E. regarding a possible impaired driver. It is alleged that once the officers located the vehicle they noticed that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. Arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80mgs is Leslie Solomon, age 59, of 22 Oakwood Dr. Mr. Solomon will be appearing in court on Jan 25th at 9:00 am.

2) At approx. 9:40 pm last night city police were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision on Second Line E. and Old Garden River Rd. As a result of the investigation officers arrested a 65-year-old. It is alleged that the accused was operating his vehicle, under the influence of alcohol, when he was involved in a motor vehicle collision. He is further alleged to have left the scene of the collision. Mr. Luigi Pagnotta, of 39 Northern Ave. is charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of drive over 80mgs and one count of failing to remain at the scene of a collision. He will be appearing in court on Jan 25th at 9:00 am.

Two persons arrested for theft under $ 5,000:

1) At approx 2:25 pm yesterday afternoon city police were called to attend at Joe’s No Frills, 519 Korah Rd regarding a female shoplifter. Upon arrival officers arrested 25-year-old Raya Desmond. It is alleged that the accused stole approx. $ 102.00 worth of cosmetics from the store. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. Raya Desmond, age 25, of 50 Manilla Terr. is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and will be appearing in court on Jan 25th at 9:00 am.

2) At approx. 4:20 pm yesterday afternoon city police were called to attend at the Wal-mart Store, 446 Great Northern Rd regarding a male shoplifter. It is alleged that the accused male stole $ 28.72 worth of toiletries. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. Douglas Boston, age 44, of 41 Old Garden River Rd. Apt 205, is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and will be appearing in court on Jan 25th at 9:00 am.

A residence in the 200 block of Korah Rd. had the front window broken early this morning.
Vehicles parked in the 100 block of Reid St and the 100 block of Grace St. had the front windshields damaged.

Thefts:

Two vehicles were entered overnight.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Wilcox Ave was entered -a purse was reported stolen.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of March St. was entered – automotive equipment was reported stolen.
