The following four persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) 40 year-old Steven Bedford of #405-126 Kohler Street was arrested on the 18th of December a 6:16 pm at his residence and charged with one count of access child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. It is alleged that on he 18th of December city police received information that the accused had child pornography on his home computer and an investigation commenced. A search warrant was executed and evidence was seized. The accused was found to have images of child pornography on his home computer and the images were accessed by the accused and downloaded by the accused to his computer.

2) 18 year-old Joshua Drake of 566 Albert Street West and two male youths, ages 15 and 16, were arrested one the 19th of December at 2 am on Albert Street West and all charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000.00. It is alleged that just after 1:30 am this morning the three accused were involved in smashing a pane of glass at the bus shelter at the corner of Albert Street West and James Street and also smashing a window out of a vehicle that was parked in that area.

Male Charged with Assault

A 40 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of December at 6:45 pm at a centrally located residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 17th of December at approximately 5:30 pm the accused assaulted his girlfriend at her residence by grubbing her around the throat and choking her. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention. He is to appear in court on the 23rd of January 2008.

Stabbing at Downtown Residence

Investigation Services are currently investigating a stabbing incident that took place at a downtown residence last evening. At around 10:41 pm a 37 year-old male was transported from the residence to hospital and is currently being treated for a serious stab wound to the abdomen area. Investigators believe that this may be a domestic related incident. There no further details to be released at this time.
