Domestic Related Arrests:

1) A 50 year-old male was arrested on the 15th of December at 4:56 pm at his residence and charged with three counts of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 15th of December the accused got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend and at a centrally located residence and assaulted her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused was on probation at the time of the incident from previous domestic related incidents and was on conditions not to communicate, molest, harass or physically interfere with her and was to keep the peace and be good. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) A 46 year-old female was arrested on the 15th of December at 4:03 pm on Bay Street and charged with one count of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of mischief, one count of assault peace officer and three counts of breach of probation. City police received a call to an office building on Bay Street regarding a domestic dispute going on in the parking lot. When police arrived they discovered that the accused was inside the vehicle of her ex-common law partner and refused to get out. It is alleged that the accused threatened to burn the male’s house down and also caused damage to his vehicle during the dispute. When police were speaking with the accused she was uncooperative, belligerent and kicked one of the officers. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions that she not communicate with the male and to keep the peace and be good. She is to attend in bail court this morning.

Drug Related Arrest:

On the 15th of December at 1:13 pm City Police executed a warrant at 165 Tancred Street. During the search, officers located a small amount of cocaine. As a result 52 year-old James Gilbert of 165 Tancred Street (Main floor) was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. He is to appear in court on the 25th of January.

Male Charged with Theft from Vehicle:

20 year-old Lucien Charette of #20-864 Queen Street East was arrested at 3:20 am this morning on Queen Street East and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. City police received a call at approximately 3 am this morning regarding two males going through vehciles in the downtown area. Police arrived and quickly locate the suspects. The accused was allegedly found in possession of a GPS Unit that he had stolen from one of the vehciles he had gone through. He is to appear in court on the 18th of January.

Male Youth Arrested for Assault at Local Youth Home:

A 13 year-old male youth was arrested on the 15th of December at 5:45 pm at a local youth home and charged with one count of assault after he allegedly assaulted one of the youth workers at the home. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.
