One youth to appear in bail court Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 15-year-old male for theft of a motor vehicle. It is alleged that at 1:40 am the accused youth entered a parked vehicle on Sutton Pl.
One youth to appear in bail court
Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 15-year-old male for theft of a motor vehicle. It is alleged that at 1:40 am the accused youth entered a parked vehicle on Sutton Pl. and drove off in the vehicle. Police located the vehicle a short time later with the accused behind the wheel. It is further alleged that when the accused was arrested by police the officers found a quantity of marihuana on him. Further at the time of these offences the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to abide by a curfew, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am and not to possess any non-prescribed drugs. The 15-year-old accused is charged with one count of theft over $ 5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of breach of a recognizance.

Male arrested for aggravated assault
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old male for aggravated assault. It is alleged that on Friday July 30th the accused male assaulted another male, known to him, by punching the victim several times to the face. Jordan Donofrio, age 18, of 676 Second Line W. Apt # 8 is charged with one count of aggravated assault. He will be appearing in court on Sept 13th at 9:00 am. The victim required medical attention for his injuries.

Male arrested for drive over 80 mgs
Early yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 45-year-old male for impaired driving. It is alleged that the accused was operating his motor vehicle, on Dyment St, while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol. Brenton Dinsmore, age 45, of 763 Dyment St, is charged with one count of drive over 80mgs. Mr. Dinsmore will be appearing in court on Sept 13th at 9:00 am
